WEST LAFAYETTE, IND. - The University of North Carolina diving squad continued its excellent performance at the Purdue Invitational Friday at the Morgan Burke Aquatics Center at Purdue University.

UNC senior Elissa Dawson led the Tar Heel performance on Friday as she finished firth in one-meter diving with a score of 274.55. Dawson had qualified fourth in the event with 270.50 points in the preliminaries.

Other finalists in the event included Maria Lohman in 10th place with 249.80 points and Emma McPeeters in 12th place with 233.60 points.

In the preliminaries, Lohman was third with 282.15 points, Dawson fourth with 270.50 points, McPeeters 11th with 249.40 points, Taylor Hockenberry 15th with 245.50 points and Qian Yi Pang 19th with 239.80 points.

In men's three-meter diving, Tar Heels Sean Burston, Greg Duncan and Bryan Allen finished seventh, eighth and ninth with scores of 341.25, 334.50 and 332.35 points, respectively. Devin Bellamy also placed in the finals, finishing 12th with 311.55 points.

In the preliminaries of three-meter diving, Duncan was third with 371.8 points, Allen eighth with 331.15 points, Bellamy 10th with 327.6 points, Burston 11th with 325.15 points and Andrew Owsiany 15th with 297.90 points.
