Three Records Set At NCAA Men's Swimming & Diving Championships

INDIANAPOLIS – The UNC men's swimming and diving team set three program records during the first two days of competition at the NCAA Championships hosted by Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis and the Indiana Sports Corporation at the IU Natatorium.
In the 800 freestyle relay Wednesday, Patrick Hussey, Louis Dramm, Sebastian Lunak, and Matthew Van Deusen earned honorable mention All-America accolades with a 16th-place finish. They posted a school record time of 6:14.88, beating the previous mark of 6:15.97, set last season, by more than a second.
Hussey led off with a time of 1:32.87 to establish a new Carolina record in the 200 freestyle, eclipsing his record of 1:33.11 set at last year's NCAA Championships.
During Thursday's 200 IM prelims, Dramm broke his program record in the event by 0:00.28 with a time of 1:42.86.
Friday's competition finals begin at 6 p.m. with the 400 IM, 100 butterfly, 200 freestyle, 100 breast, 100 back, 3-meter diving, and 400 medley relay.
