Swim & Dive Places 17 On CSCAA Scholar All-America Team

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. — Seventeen University of North Carolina swimmers were named to the 2023-24 College Swimming & Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) Scholar All-America Team, the organization announced on Wednesday.

Louis Dramm, Boyd Poelke and Noah Rutberg earned first-team honors on the men's side as Georgia Nel, Greer Pattison, Lily Reader, Madeline Smith, Skyler Smith and Elizabeth Sowards on the women's.

The men's duo of Sebastian Lunak and Colin Whelehan received second-team accolades along with women's team members Samantha Armand, Lindy Bilden, Aislin Farris, Mary Macaulay, Michelle Morgan and Ava Muzzy.

To qualify for First-Team Scholar All-America, student-athletes must have earned a GPA of 3.5 or higher and participated in their national championship. To earn a second-team nod, student-athletes must have also earned a 3.5 GPA or higher and met a "B" time standard for the national championship or qualified for a diving zone qualification meet.
