SALT LAKE CITY, Utah. - Seven North Carolina men's lacrosse alumni finished the regular season of the 2024 Premier Lacrosse League this past weekend, with the defending champion Archers hosting.
August 16 - Utah Archers vs. California Redwoods
Utah earned a one-goal victory to begin their doubleheader weekend, with defensive midfielder Connor Maher collecting a ground ball in the win. On the other side, Chris Gray scored a goal, as the Redwoods ended the year 3-7.
August 16 - Boston Cannons vs. Carolina Chaos
Attackman Marcus Holman hit the back of the net four times for the Cannons, who also added a one-goal win. At the faceoff stripe for Boston, Zac Tucci won 13 draws and earned nine ground balls. For the Chaos, defenseman Will Bowen had a caused turnover and three ground balls.
Logan McGovern had three shot attempts and a ground ball, as the Atlas dropped a one-score affair to Philadelphia. New York has earned a top-two seed, clinching a first round bye for the playoffs.
August 17 - Utah Archers vs. Denver Outlaws
Maher collected a ground ball in the Archers win, helping Utah win both of their homecoming weekend matchups. For Denver, midfielder Justin Anderson had two one-point goals and five ground balls in the defeat.
