Lunak Claims A Podium To Lead Swimming At ACC Championships

ATLANTA, Ga. – University of North Carolina Sebastian Lunak finished third in the 200 butterfly to highlight day six of the ACC Championships. Lunak, who qualified eighth, turned in a monster swim, setting a new personal best of 1:39.75, while breaking his own school record. Lunak matched his performance at last year's league meet, where he also finished third in the 200 fly.

Heading into the final day, the women's team sits in seventh with 387.5 points, while the men are currently seventh with 446.5 points.

The women's 400 medley relay blazed a 3:30.86 to finish sixth. The team of Sophia Frei, Samantha Armand, Mary Macaulay and Kamryn Meskill claimed an NCAA qualifier in the process. Ben Delmar placed sixth in the 100 breaststroke with a time of 51.69.

The swimmers will be back in action on Saturday for the final day of competition with prelims getting underway at 9:30 a.m. and finals at 5:30 p.m.
