Prep: Competed in swimming at Lake Norman High School from 2009-12...did his club swimming for SwimMAC Carolina...captain of Lake Norman team as a senior...led team to 3A state title in 2009...won 4A state high school championships as a senior in 50 and 100 freestyles...Lake Norman MVP in both 2011 and 2012...high school athlete of the year as a senior...established five individual and three relay school records...as a member of the SwimMAC Carolina senior group he helped set USA Swimming 2010-11 national age group records in the 4x50 and 4x100 freestyle relays...a 2011 USA Swimming Scholastic Swimmer...showed consistent improvement in his career best times as his high school career progressed...AAA Scholastic All-America from 2010-12.

Section #1: Swimming & Diving
1. The best thing about being a Tar Heel swimmer is great school and educational opportunity.
2. My favorite thing about competing for Coach DeSelm/Coach Johansen is He is straight shooter and values team approach.
3. Since last year the aspect of my training I've worked on the most is speed and technique.
4. My best friend on another college swimming/diving team is Peter Brumm University of Michigan.
5. My greatest strength as a swimmer is strong practice ethic and team motivator.
Section #2: Hobbies & Interests
1. Away from the pool and academic pursuits I like to spend time on the lake jet skiing.
2. The best movie I've seen recently is Insidious.
3. If I could compete in another sport at UNC it would be basketball.
4. The music act I'd most like to see in person is Wacka Flocka Flame.
5. The personal interest I have that might surprise my teammates is I play the drums.

1. After a big meet, I'd like to eat at a buffet spread that included lots of pasta and beef.
