Sophomore Vikas Gowda's throw of 194-7 in the discus broke the 11-year-old mark of 186-10 held by Harlis Meaders. It topped his personal best by more than 13 feet en route to a fifth place finish this weekend. This is the first school record set on the men's side in two years.
Sophomore Laura Gerraughty set a new mark in the hammer throw at 204-2 while winning the event. She previously held the record with a throw of 200-2. She also won the shot put and finished third in the discus. She posted NCAA regional qualifying marks in all three events.
