ATHENS, Ga. – The UNC women's swimming and diving team wrapped up its 2023-24 season on Saturday with a 17^th-place finish at the NCAA Division I Women's Swimming and Diving Championships. It was the fourth consecutive season that the Tar Heels posted a top 20 finish under coach Mark Gangloff.

Katja Pavicevic earned All-America honorable mention status with a 16^th-place overall finish in the 200-yard breaststroke. She finished 13^th in the preliminaries to advance to the consolation finals.

Ellie VanNote, Georgia Nel, Greer Pattison and Elizabeth Sowards teamed up to finish 21^st in the 400-freestyle relay to close the season.

VanNote, Nel, Pattison and Skyler Smith earned honorable mention All-America honors in the 400-medley relay on Friday night with a 12^th place.

For the week, North Carolina scored 77 points and claimed two individual national titles with Aranza Vazquez Montaño repeating as NCAA 1-meter and 3-meter springboard champion. UNC had four individuals earn All-America honorable mention accolades as Pattison, Smith and VanNote finished among the top 16 in their respective events earlier in the week.
